We had an Amazing vacation. We did a little too much partying but that's what vacation is for right! This is us in a picture at the only bar in Santa Fe that refuses to sell Bud products. Apparently the owner got into a argument with one of the Busch's 20 years ago, that's a long time for a grudge, so we found something else to drink!
This is a Kiva from the ruins we went to. Apparently the tribe would cover these and do there rituals within the Kiva. The ruins were amazing. They were Mountains formed by Volcanic Ash. There were many houses within the Mountain that the tribe would live in and that we got to experience.
The church is Santuario De Chimayo one of the most famous churches in the United States. The story of the church is that a priest drowned in the river and his cross was found later in this spot. They would take the cross to another location and every night it would disappear and return to a small puddle where it previously was. They decided that instead of taking the cross back to the church that a church should be built where it was found. Some say that the dirt has healing powers and some believe it is the river behind the church. Inside where you find the dirt there are many crutches left behind from people that were healed.
This is the miracle staircase. All that is known is that a carpenter coming through worked for months on building the staircase and when he finished he just left. There is one support at the bottom but no others throughout. It was beautiful. The scary thing is that for years the nuns would go down this staircase with no railing. It was added later.
I went horseback riding on a mountain just on the outskirts of Santa Fe. This is me and Abby at the top of the mountain. It was beautiful to say the least. I also added a picture of the Mayor of Madrid. She is the Mayor only because she owns the most property in the town. Interesting huh!
Anyway, we had an amazing adventure. Alot of sight seeing, relaxing, partying, and fun. I feel so relaxed, rejuvenated, and happy. Thank you Aaron for taking all of your Adventures with me. I love you!
